We would like to reassure all our current and potential guests that we have been monitoring and taking appropriate action since the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. We have been adhering to the advice from the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), alongside that of the relevant authorities in the countries where tours are scheduled to take place. This of course includes travel restrictions as well as health advice, which have had severe implications for all recent tours and those due to take place in the near future.

To date we have cancelled tours up until the end of May and have been contacting everyone affected by this. We are dealing with things in a chronological order, so if you haven’t been contacted yet about a later tour you may be booked on please be patient. If you would like to speak to us please feel free to contact us by phone or email and we will endeavour to help.

At the moment we aren’t formally cancelling tours departing later than the end of May, not until we have received updated information about travel restrictions and the date periods they will cover. To cancel now may mean guests have a harder time getting flight or other travel refunds from respective providers, plus we don’t wish to cancel prematurely and then find out restrictions have been lifted and they could have gone ahead.

That said, at the forefront of our minds is the safety and wellbeing of our guests and our guides. If anyone wishes to cancel or postpone bookings early then we will respect their decision and will not be penalising them for doing so. In other words, normal terms & conditions won’t apply and if anyone wishes to cancel we will return all monies paid to us in full.

We are offering the following three choices for anyone wishing to act before any formal cancellation of tours:

  1. Transfer bookings to the same tour(s) for the following year in 2021
  2. Transfer bookings to any other tour and any date (can include postponing bookings and we would retain monies paid with a credit voucher to be used later – we appreciate people may not be immediately sure of which tours they’d like to transfer to)
  3. Cancel bookings and take a full refund

We are also offering a modest price reduction as a thank you for clients transferring their bookings to later tours.

It is perhaps also worth reiterating that all holidays come with full financial security since we are covered by International Passenger Protection (IPP). This means we conform to The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. The legislation imposes certain responsibilities on all operators of package holidays and provides important protection for consumers to cover the unique characteristics of package holiday.

For more information about our insurers please visit their website at www.ipplondon.co.uk

Finally for now, we would like to express our gratitude for the patience, understanding and very welcome support, that we have received from so many of our valued guests. And to our UK based guests we would like to wish you a safe and peaceful Easter.

Best wishes from the whole team at Greenwings.
