At the 2014 Butterfly Conservation AGM in Warwickshire the Greenwings team happily presented the charities CEO (Martin Warren) with a cheque for £1,000 to be put towards the care and protection of Catfield Fen in Norfolk. The money was raised from butterfly holidays during the spring and summer of 2014. A special thanks is due to all our butterfly watching guests, who by taking a Greenwings holiday are making a direct contribution towards the conservation of an important habitat for rare and endangered species, such as the British Swallowtail and the Fen Orchid.

Catfield Fen is a Butterfly Conservation reserve and forms part of the Ant Broads and Marshes National Nature Reserve (NNR), which covers much of the floodplain of the middle Ant Valley. The NNR is one of the best and largest remaining areas of fen habitat in Western Europe.
