Yasemin Konuralp studied music at a University in Ankara. She spent much of her time climbing many of the highest mountains in Turkey. Later, she started working as a trekking tour leader, after working as a music teacher for 8 years. Since 1997 she has been leading cultural, adventure, and botanical tours in Turkey.  Yasemin makes regular Flora research trips, especially to the mountains of Turkey. Two new species that she found during her research were named after her – a reward for all her work and time in the field. Yasemin also write articles in various magazines and makes presentations on the botanical richness of Turkey in America and Europe upon request. As a result of her studies, her first book was published in 2013, focusing on the bulbous plants of Turkey.
