Born in the Loire Valley, Emilie spent over 11 years in Devon and Kent where she worked for various conservation organisations, including RSPB and Kent Wildlife Trust. In 2013, she returned to live in central France with her family and currently works part-time for the Parc naturel regional de la Brenne but also as a freelance nature guide and ecologist.

Emilie has two main passions: natural history and her pets. She studied Forestry Management in her teens and completed a Master’s Degree in Biological Recording with the University of Birmingham. She loves all wildlife but has a special interest in plants and mammals but also spends a lot of her spare time learning about equine ethology. She enjoys riding her horses in the French countryside, accompanied by her Australian Shepherd Dog.
